Real estate law

We provide high quality services in the field of real estate law, both public and private.

Our expertise in public real estate law includes all aspects of land use planning, construction law, acquisition of real estate by foreigners, environmental law and expropriation. We also practice in the field of rural land law.

In the field of private law, our activities extend to the areas of contracts for work and services, architects' contracts, property sales, tenancy law, rights in rem (in particular easements), neighbourhood law and co-ownership (in particular condominiums). Thanks to our flexibility, we are able to mobilise significant resources within a short period of time to assist our clients in important transactions. For example, we often assist our clients when they are planning a real estate acquisition or sale, both in terms of identifying risks (due diligence) and negotiating contracts, particularly for sale, work and architecture.

On the judicial side, we have developed a practice that allows us to effectively represent our clients before both the authorities in charge of public proceedings and the civil courts.

Our practice includes in particular:

Public law

  • Building permit procedures
  • Advice on environmental impact assessments
  • Advice and proceedings relating to the application of the Federal Law on Rural Land Law and the cantonal implementing law
  • Advice on project development or assistance and representation in proceedings for special operating permits

Private law

  • Assistance in the negotiation of lease contracts and litigation related to lease law
  • Drafting of work contracts and architects' contracts
